Sadio Mane was electric on his Liverpool debut on Sunday, a 4-3 victory over Arsenal that saw the Senegalese attacker score a stunning goal to open his account with his new club.

The feel-good factor at Anfield has just as quickly been sucked out of the club on Wednesday, though, as Mane suffered a shoulder injury during training at Liverpool’s Melwood training facility and has subsequently been sent to the hospital for scans and a further assessment, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Update: BBC is reporting that Mane is likely to miss Saturday’s clash against Burnley after suffering an unknown muscle injury. Several outlets have reported the setback to be related to his shoulder, although no confirmation has been given from Liverpool.)
Mane reportedly suffered the damage to his shoulder in a collision with a teammate. The 24-year-old moved to Liverpool from Southampton for $46 million in the summer.
