According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid has ended its interest in Paul Pogba due to financial reasons, opening the door for Manchester United to bring back the French midfielder on a massive transfer.

The report states Pogba’s potential transfer could cost upwards of $136 million after transfer fee, agent fee, and add-ons. According to Sky, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided not to enter a bidding war with a club of Manchester United’s financial power.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has dealt plenty with Manchester United this summer, already negotiating deals for both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrik Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford.

According to Sky, the Pogba transfer has taken a back seat for Raiola with the Frenchman progressing through the Euro 2016 tournament, according to the BBC. With the tournament coming to a close on Sunday, it’s likely that the agent will step up negotiations with both Juventus and Manchester United to produce either a contract extension or a transfer agreement.

There are also reports that Manchester United executive Ed Woodward could use Mourinho outcast Juan Mata to help decrease the monetary value of the deal.
