Soccer world lauds retiring Gerrard on Twitter
Jordan Henderson, Alan Shearer, and Sergio Ramos are among stars past and present taking a moment to laud the career of Steven Gerrard following his retirement Thursday.
Gerrard, 36, called time on his playing career after 17 years with Liverpool and two more with the LA Galaxy.

Teammates and rivals alike joined the parade of folks admiring Gerrard, with longtime Everton midfielder Tim Cahill joining former Reds stars Pepe Reina and Michael Owen in issuing Twitter love.
