Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith reports that 10 teams attended the showcase for Cuban outfielder Yordanis Linares in California on Tuesday.
He’s expected to go through private workouts with interested clubs next. A 26-year-old center fielder, Linares hit .318 with 15 home runs and 96 RBI over 191 Serie Nacional games. He will be subject to international bonus pools because he doesn’t have enough professional experience.
