Rockies purchased the contract of RHP Zach Jemiola from Double-A Hartford.
Jemiola, 22, posted a 4.39 ERA and 92/46 K/BB ratio across 162 frames for Hartford this past season. The Rockies now won’t have to worry about losing him in the Rule 5 Draft.

Rockies optioned RHP Zach Jemiola, RHP Shane Carle and RHP Rayan Gonzalez to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Jemiola was the spring standout of this group, throwing seven scoreless innings with just two hits and one walk allowed. He’ll likely remain a starter in the minors this year, but he is more interesting as a potential bullpen piece.

    Rockies released RHP Zach Jemiola.
Jemiola was designated for assignment earlier in the week. He’s now free to look for a better opportunity on the open market, though after registering a 6.83 ERA at Triple-A Albuquerque last season, it may be a hard sell.

Rockies optioned RHP Zach Jemiola to Triple-A Albuquerque; optioned RHP Jesus Tinoco, OF Yonathan Daza and C Chris Rabago to Double-A Hartford.
There are no surprises here. Jemiola will be looking to bounce back in 2018 after posting an ugly 6.83 ERA at Albuquerque in 2017.

Rockies designated RHP Zach Jemiola for assignment.
Jemiola had not made an appearance this season at Triple-A Albuquerque, where he was optioned in mid-March. He’s presumably working through an injury.
