The PGA Tour hits the road again this week, heading into international waters for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

And while last week’s star-studded CJ Cup had plenty of familiar faces, with defending champ Rory McIlroy going back-to-back to return to the No. 1 world ranking, this week’s event may test most fans’ knowledge of field depth. Lucas Herbert is not back to defend at Port Royal GC, leaving a 132-man field that largely comprises some of the PGA Tour’s rank-and-file members. The course uses wind as its primary defense, but it’s also a cozy layout where players have the option to leave driver in the bag - and often are strongly encouraged to do so by the terrain and various hazards that squeeze the fairways.

But this week’s event on the island nation still packs plenty of incentive, as it is once again a standalone tournament offering 500 FedEx Cup points to the winner (the Bermuda Championship was originally slotted opposite the WGC-HSBC Champions, but that tournament in China has not been played since 2019 because of the pandemic). It means that this week’s winner will leave with a full Tour exemption through the 2024-25 season, plus spots in the Sentry Tournament of Champions, The Players, Masters and PGA Championship next year.

The top seven players on this week’s pre-tournament odds board have accounted for exactly one prior PGA Tour win, that coming from Seamus Power‘s triumph at the 2021 Barbasol Championship. The Irishman is listed at +2200, behind both Belgium’s Thomas Detry and this week’s opening favorite, Denny McCarthy. The former Virginia product is known as one of the Tour’s best putters, and he finished T-4 in Bermuda back in 2020. He’ll look to rekindle that form this week, coming off a T-37 finish at Congaree where he went 70-70 over the weekend.

Some notable names that now find themselves tied to triple-digit prices in Bermuda include Luke Donald (+12500), Aaron Baddeley (+15000) and Bill Haas (+25000). Here’s a look at other notable odds, with McCarthy leading the way in search of his maiden victory on Tour:
