Collin Sexton O/U 24.5 Points vs. Blazers

The Cavaliers take on the Trail Blazers, who may feel a little fatigue with the third game in four days and five games in seven days.

They will take on the speedy Collin Sexton, who scored 25 points on them in the only meeting of the season.

Sexton has hit the Over 25.5 point prop in eight of his last 10 games, scoring 22 in the two Unders. Sexton has scored 25 or more points nine times in the previous 12 games. [[ad:athena]]

In the last eight of nine games, Sexton has attempted 19 or more field goals. Sexton averages 27.0 points per game in that span and hit the Over 25.5 in six outings.

NBC’s model predicts the Cavs guard to score 25.3 points in 35 minutes. When Sexton plays 35 or more minutes, he averaged 26.6 points per game in the last five and hit the Over four times. Sexton also cashed the Over nine times in the previous 10.

Portland allows the fourth-most points per game to point guards (25.52) and rank in the bottom four in rebounds and assists permitted. Sexton scored 25 points in an earlier meeting with Darius Garland and Andre Drummond in uniform. Cleveland is a slightly different squad now and more favorable for the ball-dominant Sexton to score.

The Blazers allowed 112.9 points per game to opponents in April (16th) and 22.4 free-throw attempts (16th) in that span. Sexton went to the free-throw line nine times in the only meeting and made eight freebies.

In April, Sexton averaged 26.2 points, 18.2 field goal attempts and 6.8 free-throw attempts. Sexton hit 51.5% from his field goal attempts, 86.7% from the free-throw line and 35.4% from deep.

Since the All-Star break, Sexton is averaging one more field goal attempt per game (19.2-18.2) and one more point (25.1-24.1). He has been hot and worth backing against this Blazers defense.

With Garland still out, Sexton is the best bet to go Over his point total. Another Cavs player that caught my eye is Isaac Okoro.

Pick: Collin Sexton Over 24.5 Points
