There are only five games on today’s NBA Slate, and the Lakers and the Hawks have a special 3 p.m. ET tip-off time. Injuries will not be too much of a factor today, but I would not expect Stephen Curry to play tonight for the Warriors in Memphis.
The Atlanta Hawks take their six-game winning streak on the road today for an afternoon tip with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are also on a winning streak as they are winners of four straight. The Lakers are 10-11 ATS as home favorites this season. But to their credit, they have won their last five games under those circumstances. However, I feel good about the run that the Hawks are on right now. Let’s see if they can keep it rolling. Edge: Hawks +4
The Sacramento Kings roll into Philadelphia this evening on a two-game winning streak. The Philadelphia 76ers’ only loss since the All-Star break came a few nights ago vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. The total in this game opened up at 235.5. PointsBet currently has a total of 231.5. I would lean toward the over in this game. Sacramento is playing their fifth straight road game today. The San Antonio Spurs are playing their fifth straight road game tonight vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. The Spurs are 3-1 on this road trip, but I can’t back them this deep into a road trip, even though I get a kick out of fading the Bucks. Edge: Bucks -9.5
The final game of the night is a tough game to wager on. The Charlotte Hornets are in L.A. vs. the Los Angeles Clippers. The Hornets are losers of two straight games while the Clippers are looking to rebound from a loss to the Mavericks. Laying 9.5 with the Clippers on the last game of the night is too much of a public play for me. Edge: Under 232
