Key

Key, who spent most of this season with the Warriors’ G League affiliate, was signed to a two-way contract on March 4. While Sunday’s transaction does not impact fantasy basketball, it does ensure Key will be eligible to play during the postseason if needed.

Key will fill the two-way spot left by Pat Spencer, who Golden State converted to a standard contract. Key made 20 appearances for Denver last season but never played more than seven minutes in a game. Most of his time will likely be spent in the G-League.

Key’s signing will follow up Nate Darling’s release from earlier this weekend. He appeared in 20 games with the Denver Nuggets in 2023-24 and averaged 1.1 points per contest. He isn’t likely to be a relevant fantasy option.

Not drafted after completing his college career at Seton Hall, Rhoden camped with the Trail Blazers but was waived on October 12. He has since played with the Hawks’ G League affiliate, averaging 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.1 3-pointers per game. To free up a spot for Rhoden, the Pistons have waived Braxton Key.

Key closed out last season with some strong performances as a rookie but has only appeared in two games this season. He’s unlikely to see many minutes and will be on the active roster simply as depth due to Stewart’s injury.
