The Charlotte Observer’s Jourdan Rodrigue believes Brendan Mahon will win the Panthers’ left guard job at some point this season.
Mahon is an undrafted rookie out of Penn State. Greg Van Roten looks like the favorite for the job right now -- assuming Amini Silatolu (knee) is not ready for Week 1 -- but Mahon is squarely in the mix. Even if he does not win the job, Mahon looks locked into a roster spot.
