Clemson confirms WR Germone Hopper will transfer after graduating

Wednesday morning, a report surfaced that Germone Hopper was no longer a part of the Clemson football program. A short time later, the Tigers confirmed that the wide receiver has decided to transfer for his final season of eligibility.

Hopper will remain enrolled in school at Clemson, then transfer after graduating.

“We are proud of the progress he made as a Clemson Tiger and appreciate the contributions he made to our program over the last four years. We wish him all the best”

As Hopper will be leaving as a grad transfer, he’d be eligible to play immediately at another FBS program.

Hopper was sixth on the Tigers last season with 317 receiving yards, while his 21 reception were tied for seventh. He finishes his Clemson career with 71 receptions for 797 yards and six touchdowns.
