Jamar Hornsby must be a really good defensive back. That’s because Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt has said he wants to wait for the outcome of Hornsby’s current legal dilemma before deciding on whether or not Hornsby should join the Rebels.Hornsby has already had more than his share of trouble with the law. As a member of the Florida Gators, Hornsby was convicted of four misdemeanors for credit card fraud, after using the credit card of the dead girl after she and his teammate died in a motorcycle accident. Hornsby racking up almost $3,000 worth of charges. His sentence was only a year of probation. His current hearing is for aggravated assault and petty larceny, after he allegedly used brass knuckles to beat up a man and then stole six dollars from him. The current arrest could be a violation of his probation from the credit card convictions.Houston Nutt must have tremendous faith in Hornsby to take a chance on a player with this kind of track record.
