Hoke confirms Robinson has elbow injury, should be okay for Minnesota

Things went south quickly against Nebraska Saturday night when Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson left in the first half with an elbow injury. The Wolverines couldn’t muster any offense with backup Russell Bellomy and the Cornhuskers went on to win 23-9.

Thankfully for Michigan, Robinson’s injury likely won’t result in any missed time. Brady Hoke confirmed after the game that Robinson had re-aggrevation a nerve injury in his right (throwing) arm, an injury he originally suffered a few weeks back against Illinois.

“He’s got that nerve (injury), he hits it the wrong way (or) gets hit,” Hoke said. “The difference was he didn’t come back in. But, he gets better as the game goes on.”

Hoke added that he didn’t think Robinson would be unavailable for next weekend’s game at Minnesota.

Saturday’s loss puts Michigan on the wrong end of a tiebreaker with Nebraska for Legends Division race.
