Texas Tech is doing it again.
Nearly a decade after upsetting top five-ranked, Aaron Rodgers-led California in the 2004 Holiday Bowl, the Red Raiders are once again taking it to a highly-ranked Pac-12 team -- and in the same bowl, no less.
Davis Webb completed 19 of 24 passes for 301 yards and four touchdowns to stake Texas Tech out to a 27-13 halftime lead over No. 14 Arizona State on Monday night.
The Sun Devils looked downright listless. Quarterback Taylor Kelly threw for just 14 yards on 5 of 7 passing. The Red Raiders out-gained ASU, 351-181.
The score could’ve been closer if the Sun Devils had not bungled a sequence at the close of the half that ended in a shanked field goal attempt.
But it just doesn’t look like ASU’s night. Right now, Texas Tech is clearly the better team.
