Trojans receiver skipping to NFL

In a move that will come as a shock to exactly no one, Southern Cal wide receiver Damian Williams will become ex-Southern Cal wide receiver Damian Williams shortly after the Emerald Bowl, the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting.

Citing multiple sources, the Daily News reports that Williams will forego his final season of collegiate eligibility and make himself available for the 2010 NFL draft.

Williams, who received his degree last week, would not confirm his decision -- “I don’t know. I’m playing football this week. We’ll talk about it later.” -- but head coach Pete Carroll acknowledged it’s likely that this will be Williams’ final game in a Trojan uniform.

“There’s a lot of indications (he is going pro) because he graduated,” Carroll said. “We’re talking about it. We haven’t had a serious meeting yet. His parents have been around here a lot.”

Williams becomes the sixth underclassman wide receiver to make himself available for the draft. You know how I know that? I clicked HERE.
