Trea Turner was removed from Thursday night’s contest against the Mets after being hit by a pitch in the first inning.
Turner was plunked in the knee by Sean Manaea in the home half of the first inning. He stayed in the game to run the bases and came around to score the Phillies’ first run in the ballgame but was replaced by Edmundo Sosa when the Phillies took the field in the second. He’ll head for additional evaluation and imaging just to make sure there’s no structural damage.
