Casey Schmitt went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Marlins on Saturday.
Schmitt nearly had a home run in the second inning on a ball that was ruled a double off the center field wall. He made sure the next one got over as he took Max Meyer deep for a solo blast in the fourth. He later added another extra-base hit in the eighth, driving in a run with his second double. The 27-year-old slugger is hitting .293/.322/.531 with 34 runs scored, 41 RBI, and seven steals across 289 plate appearances.
