Hunter Greene (elbow) recorded three strikeouts over four shutout innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Louisville.
Greene averaged 98.4 mph on his four-seam fastball and topped out at 99.5 mph during the 64-pitch outing. The flame-throwing 26-year-old fantasy ace remains on track to rejoin Cincinnati’s rotation before next month’s All-Star break. He’s been on the shelf since spring training when he underwent surgery to remove bone chips and loose bodies from his elbow back in early March. He’ll continue building up his pitch count and stamina with another rehab outing this weekend.
