Andrew Abbott surrendered three runs over six innings while being credited with a loss against the Phillies on Tuesday.
Abbott was able to pick up a literal quality start, but he was going to have to work magic to match the work of Zack Wheeler (7 IP, 14 SO, 1 ER). He did strike out eight hitters himself, however, and if you figure out a way to take away a two-run homer from Kyle Schwarber, this line looks considerably better. Long story short, Abbott pitched fine, as he has for most of the 2026 campaign. He’s slated to face the Cubs on Sunday.
