Henderson was outstanding in San Francisco on Tuesday, holding the Giants scoreless into the sixth. He allowed just two hits and walked two batters while tossing 64 of 93 pitches for strikes and collecting seven strikeouts. The 24-year-old right-hander has posted an impressive 2.66 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and a 54/9 K/BB ratio across 44 innings. He’ll look to keep it going against the Pirates in Milwaukee on Monday.

Roupp stranded two runners in the first, tossed a clean second, then gave up one run on a walk and a hit in the third inning. Things got away from him with two outs in the fourth as he walked a batter, hit another, then gave up a run on a base hit. He’d walk one more before he was relieved on the mound, failing to get out of the fourth inning. The 27-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 4.12 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and a 114/48 K/BB ratio across 113 2/3 innings. He’ll take on the Padres in San Diego on Sunday.

Alvarez put the Astros on the board early, taking Reid Detmers deep for a solo homer in the first inning. After drawing a walk in the seventh, he delivered a clutch hit in the top of the ninth, driving in the go-ahead run with a single. The 29-year-old slugger is slashing an MVP-worthy .325/.435/.647 with 35 homers, 74 runs scored, and 80 RBI across 469 plate appearances.

Walker took Reid Detmers deep for a solo homer in the fourth inning, then added a base hit in the sixth. The home run was the 21st of the season for the 35-year-old first baseman. He’s slashing .235/.311/.455 with 52 runs scored and 62 RBI across 431 plate appearances.

Hader took the mound in the ninth to close out the game against the Angels with a one-run lead. He worked quickly, needing only four pitches to induce two groundouts and a flyout, shutting the door on the Angels for his 14th save of the season to go with a 1.23 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and a 33/10 K/BB ratio across 22 innings.

Lambert stranded three baserunners through the first two innings before the Angels brought a run in on a walk and two hits in the third. Another two hits in the fifth brought a second run in against Lambert. His day would be done after five innings at 90 pitches. He struck out six. The 29-year-old right-hander has had an excellent season with the Astros, posting a 3.06 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 100/39 K/BB ratio across 103 innings. He’ll take on the Blue Jays in Houston on Monday.
