Jack Dreyer worked a scoreless inning against the Diamondbacks on Friday to convert a save.
After Edwin Díaz was unable to convert the save in the ninth — again — Dreyer came on and was able to escape a first-and-third jam to procure his first save of 2026. While he hasn’t been used to close out games and likely won’t be asked to do so many more times if at all, he’s done a nice job as seen in his 2.86 ERA on the season.
