Trey Yesavage (knee) starts throwing progression

Peralta gave up five hits, walked one and struck out two. He improved to 8-11 with the win. Peralta has now won his last three starts in a row while allowing only two runs in 18 innings. He’s lined up to face the Astros at home on Sunday.

Goodman’s home run was his 37th of the season. He hit a two-run shot in the ninth inning off Yankees reliever Tim Hill. Goodman broke a streak of 10 games without a home run. His 37 home runs are already six more than he had last year in 20 fewer games.

Ramos came in to play defense for Aaron Judge in the seventh inning before he hit a clutch three-run home run to put the Yankees up 5-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning. The home run was his 11th of the season. He’s hit two home runs in 25 games with the Yankees since New York acquired him before the trade deadline. Ramos is hitting.243 with a .705 OPS and 41 RBI.

The Yankees led 5-1 entering the ninth inning, but the Rockies scored two runs, creating a save situation. Bednar only faced Mickey Moniak and he struck him out to end the game. It was his 32nd save of the season. He has a 2.63 ERA.

Hughes gave up four hits, walked none and struck out six. He fell to 0-7 with the loss. Hughes had a solid start, but the Rockies couldn’t score more than one run off Cam Schlittler, resulting in him taking the loss. He still has a 5.81 ERA, which doesn’t imply that his record should be much better. Hughes is lined up to face the Tigers on the road this weekend in one of the few matchups where he could be worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

Schlittler gave up three hits, walked none and struck out 10. He improved to 13-6 with the win. The Rockies were no match for Schlittler on Tuesday as he knocked them down like bowling pins. He’s allowed five runs over his last six starts and his ERA is 2.01. Schlittler is lined up to face the Mets at home on Sunday.

Walker hit a 94-mph sinker a season-high 440 feet for his 25th homer, though just his third since the beginning of August. He was 5-for-34 with no RBI in his previous 10 games.

Wesneski shut out the Phillies until giving up a double to Justin Crawford, an RBI single to Kyle Schwarber and a two-run homer to Trea Turner in consecutive at-bats in the sixth. Fortunately, he had a five-run lead to work with before that happened. He moved to 5-1 with a 3.35 ERA. Barring a change, he’ll make his next start Sunday against the Rays. The Astros, though, might look at pushing him back. His only outing on four days’ rest since returning from elbow surgery was also his worst to date; he gave up five runs in four innings against Seattle in his lone loss on Aug. 15.

Working with a two-run lead, Hader gave up a single and then an RBI double to start the ninth, but he retired J.T. Realmuto, Derek Hill and Kyle Schwarber afterwards to end the game. The run Hader allowed was his first in 22 appearances dating back to July 20. His ERA increased from 0.69 to 0.89.
