Tobias Myers let up one hit and struck out one batter in 2/3 of an inning to earn his second save of the season on Wednesday against the Marlins.
This save from Myers was not about him challenging Kodai Senga for the Mets’ closer role to end the season. More so, he was the sixth reliever they were forced to turn to in this chaotic 15-14 win which literally took all hands on deck to come away with. He still closed the door though and has leaned on his splitter heavily since coming back from the minor leagues to positive results.
