Eli White had a successful Lisfranc repair surgery Tuesday, the Red Sox announced.
White, 32, tore a ligament in his foot while getting stuck in Fenway’s center field fencing a couple of weeks ago. He hit .246/.289/.398 in 204 plate appearances for the Braves and Red Sox this season. The Red Sox could keep him as a bench guy for $1.5 million or so next year or set him free this winter.
