Justin Jackson went 0-for-4 with three more strikeouts Friday for Single-A Dunedin.

Jackson is still regarded as one of the Jays’ top prospects even though he hit .238/.340/.368 in low-A ball last season. However, he’s really putting his ranking to the test this year. He’s hitting .147 with just one extra-base hit and 36 strikeouts in 75 at-bats for Dunedin. Since he’s just 20 and he projects as a quality defensive shortstop, he can afford a poor year with the bat. However, the rate at which he’s striking out right now is completely unacceptable.

Sam Haggerty

Sam Haggerty went 3-for-3 and knocked in all of the Rangers’ runs Saturday in a 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Haggerty had an RBI single in the second and a two-run double in the fourth before being lifted for a pinch-runner. His chances of claiming a bench spot already improved earlier in the day with the reveal that Cody Freeman would likely open up on the injured list. The switch-hitting utilityman batted .253/.328/.370 in 182 plate appearances for the Rangers last season.

Kumar Rocker allowed one run through two innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Rocker is back in the mix for a rotation spot this spring after finishing last year in the minors, but he’s probably something of an underdog at this point. Depending on how he performs and how the rest of the rotation is looking, a move to the pen might be in the offing at some point this year. His stuff seems pretty average as a starter, but he could be a weapon in short relief if the fastball comes up a bit.

Matthew Boyd

Matthew Boyd struck out four but allowed five hits and a run in 1 2/3 innings Saturday against the Rangers.

Boyd, who is preparing to pitch in the WBC, had some interesting stuff going on today, as his fastball velocity was down a little from last year but all of his secondary pitches were up by 1.5-2.5 mph. So, instead of last year’s 11-mph difference between his fastball and slider, it was nine today. His changeup difference was down from 14.5 mph to 11.5 mph. Still, best not to ready too much into one outing in February.

Jordan Lawlar

AZ 3rd Baseman #10

Jordan Lawlar hit a solo homer Saturday in a loss to the Rockies in the Cactus League.

Lawlar took Valente Bellozo for his first homer of the spring. The 23-year-old made the move to the outfield this spring, and he’s certainly athletic enough to handle playing in center; the spot he played Saturday against the Rockies. Lawlar has enormous offensive upside, but he’s a tough trust for the 2026 season.

Brenton Doyle

COL Outfield #9

Brenton Doyle went 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles in an 11-6 win Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

Doyle was picked off as his one blemish. The 27-year-old regressed hard in 2025 after a breakout 2024 season, but even if he finds middle ground between the two campaigns, there’s a decent chance he’ll be a competent fantasy option in 2026.

Cooper Ingle

CLE Catcher #70

Cooper Ingle hit a three-run homer in a Cactus League win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Ingle homered off of Brewers’ prospect Brett Wichrowski in the sixth inning. The 23-year-old backstop was a fourth-round pick back in 2023, but has developed into one of the best prospects in the system. It’s not out of the question that Ingle will have a role with Cleveland in 2026, and his positional value would make him someone worth monitoring in fantasy circles.

Nolan Jones

CLE Outfield #22

Nolan Jones homered, doubled and drove in four runs in a 9-6 win for the Guardians over the Brewers on Saturday.

It’s the first spring roundtripper for Jones. The 27-year-old outfielder was atrocious in 2025 with a .211/.296/.304 slash with five homers, but he’s not long removed from being one of the more intriguing outfielders in baseball. Still, fantasy managers would be right to take a wait-and-see approach in this situation.

Edgar Quero

CWS Catcher #7

Edgar Quero went 3-for-3 while driving in four runs in an 11-2 win for the White Sox on Saturday over the Athletics.

Quero hit a pair of two-run singles. The 22-year-old backstop was the subject of trade rumors this winter as Kyle Teel appears to be their answer at catcher, but there’s a decent chance he’ll still get some solid playing time in 2026.

Miles Mastrobuoni

SEA Infield #21

Miles Mastrobuoni hit a grand slam Saturday in a 10-5 Cactus League loss to the Giants.

He also doubled. Mastrobuoni took Hayden Birdsong deep to give the Mariners a 5-0 lead in the first inning. It’d be the last run Seattle would score. Mastrobuoni provided versatility off the bench in 2025, but he’s not a lock to make the roster to open 2026.

Jonathon Long

CHC 3rd Baseman

Jonathon Long left Saturday’s Cactus League game against the Rangers with a left elbow sprain.

It initially appeared that Long’s injury was related to his wrist, but the Cubs have clarified the situation. The infielder is one of the better bats at the upper level in Chicago’s system, and assuming good health, he has a strong chance of making his debut in 2026.
