According to Just Baseball, the White Sox will call up Noah Schultz to make his major league debut Tuesday against the Rays.
Schultz, 21, has allowed two earned runs with a 19/2 K/BB in 14 innings over three starts for Triple-A Charlotte, maxing out at 73 pitches. Control was quite a problem for him last year, when he finished with a 76/45 K/BB and a 4.68 ERA in 73 innings between Double- and Triple-A. He’s also yet to throw more than 88 innings in a season. It’ll be fun to see what he can do, but he’s probably not a mixed-league pickup immediately.
