Rockies recalled RHP Matt Daley from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Daley compiled a 4.02 ERA and 1.66 WHIP in 19 appearances for the Rockies before being sent down to the minor leagues on May 16. He had two scoreless appearances under his belt at the Triple-A level.

Lane Thomas went 3-for-5 with a grand slam on Monday, powering the Royals to a 9-2 blowout win over the Reds.
Thomas set the tone for Monday’s eventual one-sided affair by crushing a 409-foot grand slam off Reds reliever Lyon Richardson in the opening frame. It was just his second big fly of the season. He matched a season high with three hits in the contest.
Duran someone to add amid hot streak for Red Sox
Eric Samulski details Jarren Duran's recent hot streak for the Boston Red Sox and why he is someone to add in fantasy leagues whether via waivers or trade.
  • CIN Left Fielder #22
JJ Bleday slugged his 10th home run of the season during Monday’s loss to the Royals.
Bleday was one of the few bright spots for Cincinnati during this one-sided affair as he homered for the third time in his last four games. It’s admittedly a small sample size, but the 28-year-old slugging outfielder is striking out less often and making more consistent hard contact during his Reds debut, slashing .301/.398/.655 with 10 homers and 27 RBI in 133 plate appearances over 31 games this season. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues by this point.
  • KC Right Fielder #14
Jac Caglianone went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday’s win over the Reds.
Caglianone took lefty reliever Brandon Leibrandt deep to left-center field in the fifth inning to extend Kansas City’s lead to 6-1 at the time. It was his first time leaving the yard since May 16. The 23-year-old former top prospect is hitting just .242/.310/.401 with six homers and 13 RBI through 55 games. He’s capable of launching tape-measure homers, and isn’t striking out at a sky-high rate, but the over-the-fence pop hasn’t shown up consistently enough in games at the highest level for him to be an impactful fantasy contributor.
  • CIN Shortstop #56
Edwin Arroyo singled and scored a run on Wednesday against the Royals in his major-league debut.
Arroyo singled to right field in his final at-bat of the contest after striking out his first three times up. The 22-year-old top prospect’s signature moment during his highly-anticipate debut came during the second inning when he made an extremely athletic play at second base, ranging to his left into shallow right field to make a sliding stop before firing accurately to get the runner at first base. He figures to take over as Cincinnati’s starting second baseman, with Matt McLain handling shortstop, for at least a few weeks while Elly De La Cruz (hamstring) is on the injured list. He’s at least worthy of a speculative roster spot in deeper mixed leagues given his combination of fantasy-relevant tools and path to regular at-bats.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #58
Luinder Avila gave up one run over five innings on Monday in a win over the Reds.
Avila managed to hold Cincinnati to just a solo homer from JJ Bleday over five frames in his first start as a full-fledged member of Kansas City’s rotation. He struck out five and also issued four walks. He was staked to an early four-run cushion and was able to cruise through five innings to notch his first win of the year. He’ll close out the week with a favorable road matchup against the Twins on Saturday.
  • TB Left Fielder #14
Chandler Simpson is day-to-day with a lip laceration.
Simpson received stitches at a local hospital after splitting his lip on a head-first slide into second base where his helmet fell off and struck him in the mouth during Monday’s series opener against the Tigers. The 25-year-old speedy outfielder is dealing with a significant amount of lower-lip swelling to the point that he’s having difficulty speaking. However, Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters he could potentially be in the lineup for Tuesday’s contest.
  • DET Catcher #13
Dillon Dingler went 4-for-5 with two homers and four RBI on Monday, leading the Tigers to a 10-9 win over the Rays.
Dingler served as Detroit’s primary catalyst during Monday’s wild slugfest at Tropicana Field where the Tigers launched five homers and barely managed to escape with a win. The 27-year-old backstop took Tampa Bay starter Griffin Jax deep in the third inning before parking one against reliever Trevor Martin two innings later. It was his first multi-homer performance of the season. He’s homered four times in his last seven games and has already matched last year’s career-high 13 homers in just 54 games after needing 126 to reach that total a season ago.
  • TB 3rd Baseman #13
Junior Caminero hit a two-run homer and scored three times during Monday’s loss to the Tigers.
  • DET Left Fielder #31
Riley Greene went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and three RBI during Monday’s win over the Rays.

Will Vest recorded a four-out save against the Rays on Monday.
There’s a lot to unpack here. Kyle Finnegan came on to put out a sixth-inning fire and recorded four outs earlier in the contest while Detroit was leading by four runs. Vest was summoned to get the final two out of the eighth inning before coming back out to toss a perfect ninth for his first save of the year. It seems like Kyle Finnegan will be Detroit’s preferred closing option while Kenley Jansen (groin) is on the injured list, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Vest got a few chances as well.
