Brenton Doyle went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Colorado’s 4-2 win over the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
Doyle has been on the short side of a platoon of late, starting against just one right-handed starter in the last two weeks. He was in the lineup Saturday against left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, batting second. He collected two hits, including a double, and crossed home plate twice to score two of the team’s four runs. The 28-year-old outfielder is hitting .204/.271/.269 with one homer, 19 runs scored, three RBI, and eight steals across 118 plate appearances.
