Red Sox re-signed OF Johan Mieses to a minor league contract.
Mieses returns to the Red Sox’ system after hitting .233/.323/.484 with 19 homers and three stolen bases across 82 games between Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester last year. The 26-year-old outfielder possesses plenty of over-the-fence pop and should continue to make plenty of noise in hitter-friendly Polar Park in Worcester this upcoming season.

Ezequiel Duran hit a two-run triple Sunday in the Rangers’ 6-3 victory over the Royals.
Duran’s 375-foot triple to the wall in left was a homer in 20 ballparks, according to Statcast. In Globe Life, though, it probably would have been caught by a better left fielder than Isaac Collins. So, Duran should be good with the triple. He’s been arguably the Rangers’ best position player while hitting .288/.341/.460 with 31 RBI in 180 plate appearances to date.
Orioles' impressive homestand can 'propel them'
With steadily improving starting pitching and impactful contributions from throughout their lineup over their 7-3 homestand, Matt Vasgersian, Hall of Famer Jim Palmer and Dexter Fowler say the Orioles are trending up.
  • TEX Starting Pitcher #22
Jack Leiter fanned 10 in 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Royals on Sunday.
Leiter struck out 10 for the second time this month and the fourth time in his career. He still hasn’t topped that figure, but he probably will at some point before season’s end. Leiter got the win, making him 3-4 with a 4.34 ERA. He’s tied for 14th in the majors with his 74 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings. He’s a decent option in mixed leagues in another home start against Cleveland next weekend.
  • TEX Relief Pitcher #67
Jacob Latz worked a scoreless ninth for his seventh save Sunday against the Royals.
Credit for the save chance goes to Gavin Collyer, who allowed two runs in the eighth to narrow the Texas lead from five runs to three. Latz gave up a double to Bobby Witt Jr., but he still needed only nine pitches to retire three batters.
  • KC Starting Pitcher #52
Michael Wacha surrendered six runs and walked four in five innings Sunday in a loss to the Rangers.
The Royals had already lost Wacha’s previous three outings, but those were all quality starts from the righty. This is just his third non-quality start in 12 tries. He hit a batter and walked one in a four-run first and then mostly held it together aside from giving up three singles in the fourth. He wound up allowing eight hits but only five hard-hit balls. Wacha’s ERA stands at 3.23, and he’ll get the Twins on Friday.
  • KC 2nd Baseman #19
Michael Massey went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk versus the Rangers on Sunday.
Walks are barely more common than homers from Massey; he has five of them and four taters in 120 plate appearances this season. It’d be big for the Royals if Massey steps up in Maikel Garcia’s absence. He’s currently batting .234/.261/.423.
  • SF Relief Pitcher #63
Joel Peguero left Sunday’s game against the Rockies with an apparent injury.
Peguero, 29, was hit by a comebacker in his hand, and was unable to continue. J.T. Brubaker has taken over on the mound in the eighth inning.
  • TB Starting Pitcher #18
Shane McClanahan improved to 6-2 on Sunday against the Angels, allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out three and walking none.
McClanahan only threw 70 pitches as the Rays held back from having him pitch too deep into the game. The lefty missed two full seasons and was off to a shaky start this year, but he’s now allowed one earned run or less in six of his past seven starts. Tampa Bay’s usage will cost him wins, but health and strong ratios are still plenty valuable in fantasy leagues. He draws an attackable matchup on the road against the Marlins next time out.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #41
Jack Kochanowicz took the loss on Sunday in Tampa Bay, allowing three runs on five hits over 2 1/3 frames.
Kochanowicz allowed four free passes while striking out one, raising his ERA to 5.23 on the season. Angels beat writer Jeff Fletcher notes that the righty had a 3.05 ERA through his first seven starts but now has a 9.27 mark over his past five. He’s one to avoid in fantasy in his next appearance, which is scheduled to come on the road against the Dodgers.
  • TB Relief Pitcher #47
Bryan Baker needed just 11 pitches to convert his 16th save of the season in Sunday’s 5-2 win over the Angels.
Baker threw 10 of them for strikes, allowing one hit while picking up one strikeout. Tampa Bay has used him as the primary closer, as his 16 saves dwarf the next highest on the team, which consists of three relievers tied at two. Baker’s strike-throwing ability, strong results, and team commitment continue to push him up the closer ranks as the season moves along.
  • TB 1st Baseman #8
Jonathan Aranda went 1-for-2 with a home run, a walk, and two runs scored in Sunday’s win over the Angels.
Aranda’s homer was his 11th this year. Formerly a platoon bat, he’s morphed into one of Tampa Bay’s primary everyday hitters in 2026. The 28-year-old greatly improved his walk rate from a season ago, helping him maintain an OBP north of .390 as May comes to a close.
