Phillips last appeared in the majors with the Red Sox back in 2018 and will turn 41 years old later this month. The veteran second baseman played in 54 games last year for Lexington and is back for another stint this summer in the Atlantic League.

Seymour made it through the first inning unscathed, retiring all three batters he faced, but allowed a solo homer to Connor Norby in the top of the second inning to give the Marlins their first run of the night. Serving as the Rays’ opener for the night, Seymour was pulled after just two innings, giving way to Jesse Scholtens. This is the first time Seymour has been used as an opener this season, so it seems unlikely he would draw another start any time soon.

Junk retired the first two batters he faced on the day, but walked Jonathan Aranda to set up Yandy Díaz for a two-run homer that gave the Rays an early lead in the first frame. Junk would give up two more runs in the second inning, allowing Richie Palacios to score on a sacrifice fly and Cedric Mullins to be driven home on a fielder’s choice. After keeping the rays off the board in the third inning, Junk would allow two more runs in the fourth on an RBI double by Taylor Walls, but bounced back to pitch a scoreless fifth inning before being pulled with two outs in the sixth. Junk has had a rough two-game stretch, allowing 11 earned runs in his last two outings while also letting 22 runners reach base. He’ll look to bounce back in his next start, which is scheduled for Wednesday against a tough Braves team.

He’ll head for further evaluation and likely X-rays to rule out any potential fractures. Expect the Tigers to provide an update on the right-hander’s status after the game.

The 31-year-old right-hander will take the rotation spot vacated by the injured Matt Waldron. Giolito has made four minor league rehab starts, registering a 4.76 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 15/6 K/BB ratio over 17 innings. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before trying to get Giolito into lineups.

Wilson noted that Raleigh underwent another MRI that came back better than his previous one, which is definitely encouraging. The Mariners are hopeful that he’ll only need to miss a couple of weeks. Mitch Garver will continue to handle the bulk of the action behind the plate in Raleigh’s absence.

Graterol experienced a dip in velocity during his latest outing at Triple-A Oklahoma City which started the concern. We’ll wait and see what the imaging shows, but this will definitely push back the timeline for his return to the Dodgers’ bullpen.

The 30-year-old right-hander has been shelved since May 2 due to right forearm inflammation. The Tigers’ bullpen has been in shambles lately, so a return to health from Vest would go a long way toward stabilizing things at the back end for the slumping Tigers.

He’ll take the place of the injured Matt Waldron in the Padres’ bullpen. Jacob has made just one appearance with the Padres this season, picking up a victory in relief with three strikeouts over two scoreless frames.

Waldron pitched in a bulk relief role on Tuesday and then was used out of the bullpen once again on Thursday by the Padres. It’s unclear exactly when the injury occurred or the severity of it. Alek Jacob was recalled from Triple-A El Paso to take his spot in the Padres’ bullpen.

The 30-year-old southpaw was claimed off of waivers from the Cubs last weekend. He’ll provide the Dodgers’ bullpen with a fresh arm that’s capable of working multiple innings in the wake of the Blake Snell (elbow) injury.
