Robbie Grossman hit a three-run homer and walked Saturday to help the Rangers edge the Marlins 9-8.
The Rangers should have released Grossman months ago — just signing him in the first place was a bad call — but he did come through big as a DH today, hitting his first homer since June 11. Fortunately, he’s playing quite a bit less now than he did at the start of the year. He’s batting .226/.307/.377 in 296 plate appearances, and he’s been pretty bad defensively when the team has used him in the outfield.
