William Contreras slugged his 14th home run of the season on Sunday afternoon, helping to power the Brewers to victory over the Padres.
Contreras got the Brewers on the board with a mammoth 450-foot blast off of Michael Wacha in the home half of the first inning to tie the game at 1-1. He also capped off the scoring in the ballgame with an RBI double in the seventh inning, increasing the Brewers’ edge to 10-6. With his two-hit attack, the 25-year-old is now hitting .278/.355/.459 with 14 long balls and 63 RBI.
