Palka will head to Triple-A Syracuse after being released by the Red Sox earlier this month. The 31-year-old slugger hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2019 season.

Lowder will make a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Louisville next week. The 24-year-old rookie could rejoin Cincinnati’s rotation shortly afterwards since he wasn’t shut down from throwing for very long after hitting the injured list with shoulder pain back on May 13. He should be ready to return to the Reds rotation by mid-June.

Louis Varland worked the eighth inning and faced the heart of the Miami lineup, so Toronto had Rogers face the bottom of the group and got the job done. It’s his second save of 2026, and he now has a healthy ERA of 2.52. Rogers helps the Blue Jays a lot more than fantasy managers in his set-up role.

Gausman, 35, scattered six hits and two walks, and he struck out five. He gave up an RBI single to Otto Lopez that scored Xavier Edwards in the first, and while the right-hander dealt with traffic for most of the game, he was able to work around those james for another solid outing. He now has an excellent 3.13 ERA, and will try and lower that figure against Atlanta next week.

There should be a clearer idea regarding where Jones will make his next start later this week. The 24-year-old former top pitching prospect struck out six over 4 1/3 innings in his latest rehab outing for Triple-A Indianapolis last weekend. There’s a chance he jumps into Pittsburgh’s rotation later this week, but it wouldn’t be shocking if the club decided to give him another rehab outing. He’s eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list at any point now and should be rostered in all fantasy formats based on his strikeout upside.

Lawlar is presumably a couple weeks out from making it back to Arizona after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured right wrist back in early April. The 23-year-old former top prospect will need a handful of games to get back up to speed following the extended layoff, but he should be ready to return at some point around mid-June.

Tracy did caution that Whitlock has already undergone imaging and there’s no structural damage. The right-hander jammed the knee when he slipped on the mound during a rain-filled game against the Twins last week. Right now, Whitlock is considered day-to-day, but it’s good news that he appears to have avoided a significant injury.
