Danny Coulombe suffered his second loss of the season after giving up a run in the ninth Wednesday against the Astros.
This was going to be a tough game for the Orioles, who were without Yennier Cano, Cionel Pérez and DL Hall in the pen. Coulombe and Shintaro Fujinami weren’t exactly well rested, either, having pitched two or the previous three days. As it turned out, neither was effective today, with Fujinami giving up the tying run in the eighth. Fortunately, the Orioles should have Cano and Pérez ready to go on Thursday.
