Ozzie Albies went 4-for-6 with a homer, a double and four RBI in the Braves’ 10-3 defeat of the Nationals on Thursday.
That’s 32 homers and 103 RBI for Albies. It’s just the 25th season all-time of 30 homers and 100 RBI from a second baseman. Albies also did it in 2021, so he’s joining Bret Boone, Joe Gordon, Rogers Hornsby, Jeff Kent, Alfonso Soriano and Chase Utley as second basemen to do it twice. There’s a slight chance that Marcus Semien, who did it in 2021, could join them, but he’d need five more homers during the final 10 days.
