The electric left-hander will extend his season into the fall as he was invited to participate in the Arizona Fall League. Most top pitching prospects skip the league, but Tiedemann is a special case, as he missed most of the summer with a left biceps injury. Tiedemann possesses a mid-nineties fastball, a wipeout slider, and an above-average changeup and has a chance to crack the Opening Day rotation with the Blue Jays next season.

O’Hearn went 0-for-1 before exiting the game. The Pirates announced that the 32-year-old is currently being evaluated by the medical staff, and his status for Sunday’s game is questionable. Don’t be surprised if O’Hearn misses that game against Philadelphia even if everything checks out fine.

The Yankees are shuffling the rotation after Max Fried (elbow) was placed on the injured list. Elmer Rodriguez was previously announced to start Sunday’s contest, and Ryan Weathers — who originally was slated to pitch in the game — now will start Tuesday’s game against Toronto. Warren has been solid in 2026 with a 5-1 record and 3.42 ERA.

Tucker will get a day off even with right-hander José Soriano on the bump for the Angels. The 29-year-old will rest with Alex Call starting in right field and hitting eighth.

O’Hoppe exited Friday’s game against the Dodgers with left wrist irritation, but the 26-year-old backstop is good to go for the middle game against the Dodgers on Saturday.

Bradley will make his first rehab appearance since going on the injured list May 6 with pectoral inflammation. The 25-year-old will likely make a pair of rehab starts at least before rejoining the Minnesota rotation near the start of June — assuming everything goes well in those outings, of course.

Burleson put the Cardinals on the board in the first inning with a sacrifice fly to get the scoring started. He later brought home an insurance run on a hard-hit single in the eighth. The 27-year-old first baseman is having a solid season at the dish, hitting .277/.342/.445 with six homers, 21 runs scored, and 33 RBI across 193 plate appearances.

Caglianone knocked a base hit in the second inning, then later led off the ninth with a solo blast off George Soriano, a 113.4 mph blast for his fifth of the season. The 23-year-old outfielder is slashing .246/.318/.425 with 18 runs scored and nine RBI across 148 plate appearances. While he’s put up elite hard-hit metrics, he’s still not getting the ball in the air enough to realize his power potential.

With Riley O’Brien unavailable on Saturday after pitching in three of the last four games, Soriano got the call in the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He surrendered a solo homer to Jac Caglianone before holding on for his second save of the season. Expect O’Brien to step right back in should a save situation arise on Sunday.

Leahy stranded six runners through four innings, including a bases-loaded situation in the second, before the Royals would break through with one run on two hits in the fifth. He returned for a scoreless sixth, ending his day at 90 pitches with two strikeouts and in line for the win. It’s his third straight start allowing one run or less. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a 3.94 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and a 34/20 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings into a start against the Reds in Cincinnati on Friday.

Cameron gave up a run in the first inning on two hits and a sacrifice fly. He settled in for three more scoreless frames before the Cardinals brought two more runs home in the fifth. Cameron gave the Royals a scoreless sixth to finish with a quality start. He generated a season-high 12 whiffs to strike out four batters. The 26-year-old left-hander will take a 5.40 ERA, 1.51 WHIP, and a 36/14 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings into a start against the Mariners in Kansas City on Friday.
