Blue Jays signed 1B/DH Justin Turner to a one-year, $13 million contract.
The deal, which was agreed to earlier this week, was made official on Wednesday. Turner winds up in an excellent landing spot as he’ll take over as Toronto’s primary DH and should fit in nicely as a reliable middle-of-the-order stabilizer behind franchise cornerstones Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Entering his age-39 campaign, he’s going to slow down eventually. However, fantasy managers can safely pencil in another 20-homer season with a respectable batting average and decent counting stats. He’s a strong late-round selection in all fantasy formats.
