Michael Busch went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Brewers.

Busch got the scoring started for the Cubs in the third when he blasted a solo homer 434 feet to center field. The homer marked Busch’s eighth of the season and his first since May 7th. Busch has hit just two homers since his five-game home run streak ended on April 16th, and he’s hitting just .206/.316/.382 this month.

Cubs recalled RHP Jayden Murray from Triple-A Iowa.

Murray joins Chicago’s relief mix for Tuesday’s contest against the Mets after being acquired from the Astros in a trade over the weekend. The 29-year-old has allowed 11 runs on 19 hits over 13 1/3 innings this season. He’ll operate in low-leverage spots for the Cubs.

Cubs optioned RHP Gavin Hollowell to Triple-A Iowa.

Hollowell returns to the minors to clear a roster spot for newly acquired reliever Jayden Murray. The 28-year-old has compiled a pedestrian 4.91 ERA across 3 2/3 innings for the Cubs in middle relief duty this season.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza confirmed Christian Scott (hip) will be activated from the injured list to start against the Phillies this weekend.

Scott is eligible to come off the injured list on Saturday, which would bump Kodai Senga back a couple days or out of New York’s rotation entirely. It’ll be David Peterson handling Friday’s series opener. The 27-year-old will wind up missing only a pair of starts after hitting the injured list with a hip impingement earlier this month. He had allowed three earned runs or fewer in eight consecutive starts prior to being tagged for four runs over 4 2/3 innings by the Cardinals during his last start before landing on the shelf. He boasts a strong 3.10 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 47/19 K/BB ratio across 40 2/3 innings this season. He’s a decent streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper formats where he may have been dropped.

Jorge Polanco (Achilles) has resumed baseball activities.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza reiterated that there’s no official timetable for Polanco to return at this stage in his rehabilitation process. The 32-year-old infielder has been dealing with lingering Achilles issues since the start of the season and has been on the injured list since early April. It seems unlikely he’ll make it back to New York until after next month’s All-Star break.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Luis Robert Jr. (back) took batting practice on Tuesday.

Mendoza added that Robert still needs to ramp up his running progression before he’s cleared to return. The 28-year-old center fielder will require a bit of an extended minor league rehab assignment since he’s been on the shelf with a herniated disc in his back since late April. It sounds like there’s a decent chance he’s back at some point in July.

Kyle Teel is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Guardians.

Teel started at catcher and went 0-for-4 out of the cleanup spot in his season debut at Rate Field on Monday night. The 24-year-old backstop missed nearly three months to open the season after suffering a serious hamstring injury during the World Baseball Classic back in March. His return was delayed even further by a knee sprain that he suffered during his rehabilitation process. He’ll slot into the heart of Chicago’s lineup and is worthy of a roster spot in most fantasy leagues based on his offensive upside. Drew Romo is behind the plate on Tuesday evening.

Max Meyer will be activated to start Friday’s game against the Cardinals.

Meyer is poised to rejoin Miami’s rotation after being placed on the bereavement list earlier this week. The 27-year-old former top pitching prospect has posted a sparkling 2.31 ERA and 28/9 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings over four starts since June 3.

Edwin Arroyo is at second base and hitting ninth on Tuesday against the Brewers.

It’s challenging to read too much into a single lineup decision, but it qualifies as noteworthy that Arroyo is at the keystone during Elly De La Cruz’s first contest back from the injured list with Matt McLain on the bench. It’s also an extremely encouraging sign that Cincinnati chose to keep him around instead of shipping him back to the minors. It’ won’t be easy for Arroyo to carve out enough playing to make an impact in shallow fantasy leagues, but he’s clearly a significant part of Cincinnati’s future at second base.

Christian Yelich is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds.

Yelich takes a seat with lefty Nick Lodolo taking the hill for Cincinnati. It’ll be William Contreras getting a turn at DH with Gary Sánchez drawing a rare start at catcher.

Eury Pérez (leg) will come off the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday against the Rangers.

Pérez, 23, will return from the injured list after missing a little over three weeks with a strain in his thigh. The right-hander has missed bats at a solid level with 72 strikeouts over 62 innings, but 28 walks and 11 homers allowed in that timeframe point to how inconsistent — to put it nicely — his command has been. Pérez is a high-risk, high-reward option for Wednesday’s outing, and many more after that.
