Adolis García went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo homers on Wednesday, leading the Rangers to a 9-7 comeback win over the Red Sox in a 10-inning marathon.
García had been scuffling at the plate with just one round-tripper in 23 contests since last month’s All-Star break before exploding on Wednesday night at Fenway Park for his first multi-homer performance of the season. The 31-year-old fantasy stalwart took Red Sox starter Tanner Houck deep in the sixth inning before tattooing an offering from former Angels reliever Luis García a couple frames later. He’s up to 20 big flies on the season and has also been moved back to the cleanup spot over the last few days by manager Bruce Bochy. It wouldn’t be shocking if he went on an extended hot streak to close out the year.
