Padres selected the contract of INF Mason McCoy from Triple-A El Paso.

It sounds like McCoy will see regular action at shortstop for the Padres while Ha-Seong Kim (shoulder) is on the shelf. The 29-year-old was hitting .260/.329/.382 with five homers, 20 RBI, 25 stolen bases and a 105/39 K/BB ratio over 432 plate appearances at Triple-A El Paso. He’s unlikely to make a major impact from a fantasy perspective.
