That’s what happens when your offense provides you with 11 runs of early support. Cameron struck out six batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. They scratched out a pair of runs against him in the top half of the first inning, then Cameron settled in until giving up RBI singles to Jordan Walker and Jose Fermin in the fourth and fifth respectively. Matthew Liberatore was obliterated in a losing effort against the Royals on Thursday evening, giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits in just 1 2/3 innings.

He got four whiffs on just 48 pitches in the game, posting a CSW of 27 percent. Sean Burke picked up his fourth victory of the season on Thursday, limiting the Yankees to just one run on five hits over 7 1/3 frames.

Burke punched out eight hitters in the contest while issuing one walk. He entered in the second inning after Bryan Hudson got the first five outs as an opener for the White Sox. Burke served up a solo homer to Ryan McMahon in the third inning, but that would be the only run that they could muster against him the rest of the way. The 26-year-old got 20 swings and misses on 88 offerings in the game, posting an elite CSW of 39 percent. Now 4-4 on the season, he’ll look to replicate this fine performance as he brings a 3.89 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and a 81/29 K/BB ratio (81 innings) into Tuesday’s divisional showdown against the Guardians.
