Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters that Shane McClanahan will miss time with his triceps injury.
“Very unfortunate,” Cash said. “He’s going to miss some time. We’ll have a better understanding once he gets some imaging done.” McClanahan left his final spring start on Saturday start with triceps tightness. The 27-year-old was expected to pitch at the top of the Rays’ rotation. That won’t happen now, and fantasy managers need to look for a replacement to begin the season. There should be some clarity on his status at some point later this weekend.
