Eugenio Suárez went 4-for-6 with a pair of homers and three RBI on Friday evening, leading the Diamondbacks to a wild 14-8 victory over the Rockies in a slugfest at Coors Field.
Suárez led off the fifth inning with a 405-foot (98.8 mph EV) solo shot off of Austin Gomber that tied the game at seven runs apiece. Suárez then victimized Ryan Rolison his next time up, that time for a 389-foot (96.2 mph EV) two-run blast that increased the Diamondbacks’ advantage to 11-7. He also led off the eighth inning with a single and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Randal Grichuk. With his four-hit attack, the 33-year-old slugger is now hitting .246/.319/.558 with 24 long balls and 65 RBI on the season.
