MacKenzie Gore gave up five runs in as many innings to take a loss to the Mariners on Sunday.

Gore had been excellent in his previous bouts with the Mariners as both a Ranger and a National, but this one was ugly from the get. He allowed a solo homer to Rob Refsnyder to begin the game, and gave up two more homers to Randy Arozarena and J.P. Crawford; both of those with runners on. He did strike out five, but it was clear Gore just didn’t have his best stuff in this contest. He’ll try and bounce back and lower his 4.15 ERA versus the Athletics on Saturday.

Bryan Woo

SEA Starting Pitcher #22

Bryan Woo limited the Rangers to two runs over seven innings to pick up a win for the Mariners on Sunday.

Woo dominated the Rangers over the first six innings, but gave up a two-spot in the seventh to turn a sensational outing into a very good one. The 26-year-old had a rare off start versus the Padres on Wednesday, but bounced back with yet another efficient outing; throwing 54-of-85 pitches for strikes with one walk and six strikeouts. Woo is an absolute must-start next weekend for a scheduled bout against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

LAD Starting Pitcher #17

Shohei Ohtani doubled twice and drove in a run in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Ohtani’s double extended his on-base streak to 51 games. The 31-year-old has doubled four times in 2026, and he’s up to 11 RBI from the leadoff spot in 21 games.

Alvarez pitched well with 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball, but the 26-year-old will return to Triple-A to give the Nats a fresh arm for the coming week. The corresponding move will be announced Monday.

Kyle Karros hit a solo homer and scored twice in a win for the Rockies over the Dodgers on Sunday.

Karros absolutely clobbered a 438-foot blast off Roki Sasaki to make it a 3-2 game. The 23-year-old also singled and came around to score a run. The two-reach game with the homer puts his slash at .211/.352/.281, but he’s passed the eye test a few times in the young campaign.

Ryan Ward

LAD Left Fielder #67

Ryan Ward went 2-for-5 with an RBI in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

Ward’s MLB debut saw him pick up his first two hits and his first run driven in. Unfortunately, it also saw him end the game as the tying run at the plate, but hard to call this anything but a success. The 28-year-old has raked in Triple-A, but the question is going to be just how much playing time he sees while he’s with the Dodgers.
