Junior Caminero is at DH and batting sixth on Sunday as the Dominican Republic faces Team USA in the World Baseball Classic semifinal.
Caminero has been one of the driving forces behind the Dominican Republic’s relentless onslaught during the international tournament, hitting .275 (6-for-16) with two homers and six RBI through five contests. He’ll help anchor a star-studded lineup as the Dominican Republic faces Team USA ace Paul Skenes at loanDepot Park in Miami with a berth in the World Baseball Classic final at stake. Here’s the full lineup: Fernando Tatis Jr. (RF), Ketel Marte (2B), Juan Soto (LF), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B), Manny Machado (3B), Caminero (DH), Julio Rodríguez (CF), Austin Wells (C) and Geraldo Perdomo (SS).

MacKenzie Gore struck out three over four shutout innings on Monday against the Royals.
Gore scattered three hits and threw 51 pitches (38 strikes) in his final spring tune-up. The 27-year-old lefty will take the ball on Sunday against the Phillies, a familiar foe from his Nationals tenure, in his Rangers debut.
Cubs' Suzuki (knee) to miss opening day
With Seiya Suzuki's start to the season uncertain due to injury, Eric Samulski gives advice to fantasy managers eyeing the Cubs for their depth in designated hitters.
  • LAD Catcher #16
Will Smith will bat cleanup against left-handed starters to open the season, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.
Roberts has decided to flip Smith and Freddie Freeman against southpaws, likely to prevent having three lefty bats in the top four of the order, now that offseason addition Kyle Tucker is in the mix. It’s a small change for the Dodgers but one that fantasy managers should monitor to see whether it sticks. It would likely result in a few additional run-producing opportunities for Smith.
  • MIL 2nd Baseman #6
David Hamilton went 2-for-2 with a two-run double and a stolen base on Monday, leading the Brewers to a blowout win over the Reds in an exhibition contest.
Hamilton kicked off the scoring with a two-run double in the second inning. He also singled and stole a base, his sixth theft of the spring, in the fourth. The 28-year-old speedster will occupy a reserve infielder role on Milwaukee’s bench to open the season. He would have some appeal in deeper mixed leagues if an injury opened up a full-time opportunity.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #51
Brady Singer was charged with six runs — five earned — over four innings on Monday against the Brewers.
Singer struck out three, issued one walk and threw 51 of 78 pitches for strikes. The key takeaway is that the 29-year-old made it through the outing without the blister issue resurfacing. He’ll take the ball on Sunday against the Red Sox to open the regular season.
  • HOU Starting Pitcher #45
Tatsuya Imai recorded three strikeouts over 3 2/3 scoreless innings on Monday against Triple-A Sugar Land.
Imai recorded 12 swinging strikes and averaged 95.8 mph on his four-seam fastball, topping out at 98.5 mph in his spring finale at Daikin Park. He threw 51 of 79 pitches for strikes. The 27-year-old has done a nice job mixing speeds and locations this spring and looks like he’ll offer enough strikeout potential to be impactful in all fantasy formats. There are going to be a wide range of opinions on his immediate fantasy value, but Imai is easily a top 50-60 range starter entering the year. He’ll make his major-league debut on Sunday against the division-rival Angels.
  • STL Starting Pitcher #3
Dustin May struck out four over four scoreless innings on Monday against Double-A Springfield.
We don’t have any Statcast data since this contest took place at Double-A Hammons Field but May turned in a strong performance in his final tune-up before opening the season in St. Louis’ rotation. The 28-year-old figures to take the ball this weekend against the Rays at Busch Stadium. His immediate fantasy appeal is strictly limited to deeper formats until he strings together a handful of quality outings.
  • DET Shortstop #80
Kevin McGonigle is at third base and batting sixth on Monday against the Rockies in a Cactus League exhibition contest.
It’s a bit perplexing Detroit is taking things down to the wire on the McGonigle decision since all signs point to him being the club’s starting third baseman for Thursday’s season opener against the Padres. The 21-year-old’s upper-echelon hit tool gives him a chance to be an extremely impactful fantasy contributor right away. There should be an official announcement from the team at some point in the near future.
  • DET Catcher #34
Jake Rogers has cleared concussion protocol.
Rogers was diagnosed with a concussion last week following a mishap during a training drill. The 30-year-old backstop will be ready for Thursday’s season opener against the Padres. He’ll serve as a backup to starter Dillon Dingler this season.
  • BOS Starting Pitcher #71
MassLive.com’s Chris Cotillo reports that Connelly Early and Johan Oviedo have made the Red Sox’s season-opening roster.
It became a foregone conclusion once pitching prospect Payton Tolle was optioned to the minors that Early and Oviedo will have roles with the Red Sox. It’s a bit unclear which one is going to land the final spot in Boston’s rotation and who will be pitching out of the bullpen. Early offers significantly higher fantasy upside based on his impressive late-season cameo last year but he’s also more likely to head back to the minors once Ranger Suárez and Brayan Bello are fully stretched out.
  • FA Catcher #15
    Mets released C Austin Barnes.
Barnes was in Mets camp as a non-roster invitee this spring and wound up hitting .313 (5-for-16) in eight games. There simply wasn’t role for him with the club since Francisco Alvarez, Luis Torrens and Hayden Senger are all healthy.
