Guardians 2B prospect Travis Bazzana went 2-for-6 with a game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth for Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.
The 23-year-old is only 5-for-24 in his first six games of the season, but he has five walks, a .720 OPS, and had three hard-hit balls in this game. With Konnor Griffin now being called up to the big leagues, Bazzana could be the next big-name prospect knocking on the door if he can start converting these hard-hit balls into more hits.

Ketel Marte went 4-for-5 with three RBI on Monday, propelling the Diamondbacks to a 6-2 win over the Giants.
Marte recorded his third consecutive three-hit performance, tallying a season-high four hits in this one, as he continues to snap out of an extended cold spell at the outset of the year. The switch-hitting 32-year-old fantasy star smacked a game-tying double into shallow left field in the fifth inning off Giants starter Landen Roupp before adding a two-run single to left-center field in the sixth against reliever Joel Peguero. He’s hitting a surreal .429 (26-for-61) with three homers and 17 RBI over his last 15 games.
HLs: Angels walk off Rangers after Detmers dazzles
The Angels used Reid Detmers' masterclass, some well-timed offense and a few good breaks to complete their first sweep of the 2026 season in a 2-1 win over their AL West-rival Texas Rangers.
  • SF 1st Baseman #16
Rafael Devers hit a two-run double during Monday’s loss to the Diamondbacks.
Devers was responsible for San Francisco’s lone runs of the contest when he lifted a towering double that one-hopped triples alley in right-center field at cavernous Oracle Park. He was also hit by a pitch, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances in the low-scoring affair. The 29-year-old slugger has alleviated most of the concerns fantasy managers had earlier this season, hitting .302/.351/.593 with five homers and 16 RBI since the start of May.
  • AZ Catcher #14
Gabriel Moreno belted his third home run of the season on Monday in a win over the Giants.
Moreno took Giants starter Landen Roupp deep in the third inning for his third round-tripper since returning from the injured list back on May 1. The 26-year-old backstop has shown flashes of big-time potential at various points in his career, but he’s never quite put it all together consistently enough to be an impactful fantasy contributor in shallow mixed leagues.
  • AZ Starting Pitcher #29
Merrill Kelly surrendered two runs over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Giants.
Kelly turned in his fourth consecutive quality start, limiting San Francisco’s lineup to just four hits in his second straight outing against them. He finished with four strikeouts and only issued two walks, needing 96 pitches (64 strikes) to navigate seven frames. He’ll close out a two-start week with a challenging road tilt against the Mariners on Sunday.
  • SF Starting Pitcher #65
Landen Roupp was charged with four runs — two earned — over five innings on Monday in a loss to the Diamondbacks.
Roupp finished with seven strikeouts, falling one shy of his previous season-high, and has now reached that mark five times through 11 starts. The 27-year-old largely kept Arizona in check, allowing only a Gabriel Moreno solo homer before things unraveled in the fifth inning. San Francisco’s defense didn’t do him any favors, as a leadoff error and a misplay in left field by Casey Schmitt helped spark a three-run frame that allowed the Diamondbacks to pull away for good. Roupp has been a strong fantasy option through the first two months, compiling a pristine 3.30 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 68/22 K/BB ratio across 60 innings. He’ll wrap up a two-start week with a difficult road matchup at high-octane Coors Field against the Rockies on Sunday.
  • CIN Catcher #37
Tyler Stephenson hit a two-run homer off Nolan McLean in the Reds’ 7-2 defeat of the Mets on Monday.
Stephenson struck out his other three times up, but one big hit can make up for that kind of thing. The homer was his fourth in 148 plate appearances. Statcast think she’s been rather unlucky, giving him a .406 xSLG versus an actual mark of .285 coming into the day. It gives some hope that he’ll eventually prove useful in two-catcher mixed leagues.
  • CIN Starting Pitcher #40
Nick Lodolo allowed one run through six innings and struck out seven Monday in a win over the Mets.
Lodolo enters the win column in his fourth start back after missing time with blister issues. He gave up a homer to Marcus Semien today, but the other five hits he allowed were singles and he walked none (though he did plunk Carson Benge twice). Lodolo has a 5.57 ERA since returning, but maybe today was a sign that he’s turned things around. He’s slated to face the Braves on Sunday.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #26
Nolan McLean was lit up for seven runs in 3 1/3 innings by the Reds on Monday.
McLean gave up two runs in the second, but it would have been one if Bo Bichette had made a better effort to start a double play. The Reds then got a solo homer in the third and opened the fourth with a walk, a double, a two-run groundball single past the drawn-in infield and a two-run homer. McLean was left in to get a groundout but then pulled after a HBP. McLean did strike out six, but it was a second straight poor outing for the 24-year-old, and in spite of his strong peripherals, he’s now 2-4 with a 4.40 ERA overall. He’ll probably be better against the Marlins this weekend.
  • NYM 2nd Baseman #10
Marcus Semien went 2-for-4 and hit his fourth homer in Monday’s loss to the Reds.
Semien was coming off three straight hitless games, but he was able to turn around a Nick Lodolo fastball today. It was his 257th career homer, tying him Ian Kinsler for 17th most all-time among middle infielders. He should also overtake Chase Utley (259) and Derek Jeter (260) this year while jockeying for position with Jose Altuve (259).
  • SEA Catcher #29
Cal Raleigh (oblique) has resumed baseball activities.
It’s the first time Raleigh has done any baseball-related activities since hitting the injured list for the first time in his career with a right oblique strain back on May 14. The 29-year-old backstop figures to be ready to return in a couple weeks but remains without a definitive timeline.
