Framber Valdez pitched six shutout innings in a win over the Cardinals on Friday.
He scattered three hits and walked two while striking out five, and his curveball generated eight called strikes and whiffs in 29 pitches. St. Louis’ lineup against left-handed pitching isn’t exactly the most threatening thing we’ve ever seen, with Ramon Urias batting cleanup. But Valdez is off to a great start now with an 0.75 ERA in his first two turns through and he should remain an easy start going forward.

Henry Bolte went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the A’s 7-5 win over the Brewers on Tuesday.
Twenty-two games into his career, Bolte had still been searching for his first major league home run after crushing 12 over 22 games in Triple-A. He finally got on the board with a two-run blast off Robert Gasser in the second inning, a 106.9 mph shot at 446 feet. The 22-year-old outfielder has otherwise performed well, hitting .295/.371/.385 with seven runs scored, seven RBI, and four steals across 89 plate appearances.
Soderstrom 'turning the corner' amid hot streak
Tyler Soderstrom's two-HR day was just the latest sign that the Athletics' slugger is in the middle of a hot streak. Eric Samulski says fantasy managers should expect the ball to "fly off his bat" as summer rolls on.

Jackson Chourio went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer against the Athletics on Tuesday.
Chourio wasted no time keeping up the power barrage in Las Vegas, taking J.T. Ginn deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. That would be his only hit in the game. The home run was his fifth of the season while slashing .301/.356/.496 with five homers, 23 runs scored, 19 RBI, and five steals across 146 plate appearances.

Mason Barnett tossed two innings with four strikeouts to record a save against the Brewers on Tuesday.
Barnett was summoned in the eighth inning with a two-run lead against the Brewers. He completed two clean innings, shutting the door on Milwaukee with four strikeouts to convert his first save. Barnett had previously made appearances of four and two scoreless frames, so he may stick to a multi-inning role. But he now has a solid 11/4 K/BB ratio across 7 1/3 scoreless innings of work.

J.T. Ginn allowed five runs and struck out five batters over 5 2/3 innings in a win against the Brewers on Tuesday.
Ginn served up a two-run homer to Jackson Chourio in the first inning. A double and a base hit would bring a third run in to score in the fourth. The Brewers would get two more runs across on two walks and two hits in the sixth before Ginn departed with two outs at 97 pitches. He struck out five. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a solid 3.15 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 65/30 K/BB ratio across 71 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies at Las Vegas Stadium on Sunday.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #54
Robert Gasser allowed six runs with seven strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Athletics on Tuesday.
Gasser gave up a solo homer to Nick Kurtz in the first inning, then a two-run blast to Henry Bolte in the second as the home run barrage in Las Vegas continued on Tuesday. It didn’t stop there. Tyler Soderstrom went yard off Gasser for a two-run shot in the fifth, followed by a solo homer by Jonah Heim. Gasser’s day would be done after five frames. He struck out seven. The 27-year-old left-hander will take a bloated 6.38 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and a 19/9 K/BB ratio across 18 1/3 innings into a start against the Guardians in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
  • LAA Left Fielder #53
Wade Meckler went 1-for-2 with two RBI, three runs scored, and three walks in the Angels’ 10-1 win over the Astros on Tuesday.
Meckler reached on an error in the first inning and scored on a groundout. He then drove in two runs on a double in the second before scoring again. After drawing a walk in the fourth, he reached for a fourth time on his third walk in the eighth and scored a third run. The 26-year-old outfielder has been outstanding as the strong side of a platoon in left field, hitting .340/.417/.547 with two homers, 10 runs scored, and 12 RBI across 60 plate appearances.
  • LAA Right Fielder #7
Jo Adell went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI against the Astros on Tuesday.
Adell drew a walk in the first inning, then doubled to drive in two runs in part of a five-run second inning for the Angels. He later singled and scored again in the eighth. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .243/.287/.392 with 10 homers, 29 runs scored, and 39 RBI across 282 plate appearances.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #57
Walbert Ureña tossed five shutout innings with seven strikeouts in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.
Ureña held the Astros scoreless over five innings on Tuesday, but was working around traffic throughout. He tossed just one clean inning as he stranded multiple baserunners in every other frame, scattering three hits and five walks. Seven strikeouts helped him keep the Astros from bringing runners home. The 22-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 2.44 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 55/33 K/BB ratio across 55 1/3 innings into a start against the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Monday.
  • HOU Relief Pitcher #17
Kei-Wei Teng allowed seven runs -- five earned -- with five strikeouts over four innings in a loss against the Angels on Tuesday.
It was a forgettable start for Teng, starting with a pair of runs in the first inning on a bases-loaded hit batter and a groundout. The Angels would get to him for five more runs in the second inning, including a pair of two-run doubles by Wade Meckler and Jo Adell. Teng would hang on for two more scoreless frames, ending his day after four innings with five strikeouts. The 27-year-old right-hander will take a 3.71 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and a 49/24 K/BB ratio across 51 innings into a start against the Tigers in Houston next Tuesday.
  • CHC 1st Baseman #29
Michael Busch hit a solo homer in a loss to the Rockies on Tuesday.
Busch crushed a 424-foot shot off Tomoyuki Sugano in the sixth inning, but it came with the Cubs trailing 7-1. He’s now homered seven times in 2026, while the solo roundtripper gives him 37 RBI in 67 games. It’s the first homer of the month of June for Busch, but he has picked up hits in six of his seven contests in the month. Overall the production has been disappointing, but there’s reason for optimism over the final 90-plus games of the campaign.
