Anthony Kay will work behind him. When White Sox GM Chris Getz said in December that Taylor would remain in the pen, he said it’d be as a multi-inning reliever. In February, Taylor himself said he saw himself throwing 100 innings this year. However, since the games started six weeks ago, it’s been clear none of that is happening. Taylor has gotten more than three outs just once in 11 appearances, pitching 1 2/3 innings on March 10. He’s gone one inning in three straight outings to start the regular season and presumably will do that again on Saturday. If he continues to open regularly, he’ll be particularly useless in fantasy leagues, since both wins and saves will be off the board.

Young figures to reclaim a strong-side platoon role as long as Jorge Polanco remains out, and perhaps longer if he keeps hitting. Young was at .350/.391/.450 in 23 plate appearances before hurting himself in late April, so the Mets figure to at least give him some at-bats in the hopes he can get hot.

He figures to vie with Brooks Raley for the team’s main lefty late-game role. Minter had a 1.64 ERA before getting hurt in 2025 and should at least have a chance at reclaiming the gig ahead of Raley. Assuming the Mets bother winning some games here or there, he’ll have some value in leagues with holds.

He had a 10.13 ERA with the Orioles in 2 2/3 innings earlier in the year, but also has a 3.24 ERA in 16 2/3 innings between Triple-A Memphis and Norfolk this year. Raquet will keep getting chances in the Orioles bullpen shuttle.

Enns had a 3.94 ERA in 16 innings (13 appearances) for the Orioles this year while walking 11 and striking out 13. The 35-year-old probably should factor into another team’s bullpen shuffle if he doesn’t ultimately remain with the Orioles. He pitched each of the last two days, throwing 23 pitches combined in two wins against the Rays, and Baltimore preferred a fresh arm.

Speier will resume his role as a bridge to Andres Muñoz, though Jose A. Ferrer is also pitching well enough that Speier probably won’t immediately be in any sort of competition for holds. Speier had a 2.92 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 12 1/3 innings before hitting the injured list in early May.

Davila pitched 7 1/3 scoreless innings for the Mariners in his debut season — though he did walk six against just four strikeouts — and figures to be up when circumstances dictate a fresh arm for the Mariners again.

Rookie Gage Jump — not yet officially added to the roster — will instead start for the Athletics. Severino is coming off a terrific start against the Angels on Thursday, so he figures to be a streaming option against the Mariners if he slots in against them. Another, less fantasy-friendly option, would be for Severino to start against the Yankees on Friday.

Daniel Schneeman will bat fifth and play center field in Hoskins’ absence, allowing a DH day for Chase DeLauter. We’d say this looks like a routine day off, but when you’re hitting .190/.338/.388 in 44 games lower on the defensive spectrum as a low-risk signing, your roster spot is obviously on shaky ground.

Dion was 3-0 with a 4.50 ERA in 15 appearances over 26 innings with Columbus, striking out 36 and walking just five. He’ll give the pen a fresh arm in his major league debut during his age-26 season.

Allen pitched four shutout innings against the Nationals on Monday, striking out seven. It was a good impression, but the Guardians bullpen needed fresh arms. Allen holds a 5.45 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in eight starts with Columbus, so he’s not terribly fantasy relevant at this point.
