There’s no publicly available Statcast data below Triple-A, but The Athletic’s Matt Gelb reports Wheeler was sitting 94 mph and touched 95 in his first inning of work. The 35-year-old former fantasy ace’s diminished velocity has been a concern throughout his rehab assignment as he works his way back from last year’s thoracic outlet syndrome procedure, but it appears the Phillies are ready to bring him back to the majors soon. He’s expected to make a final rehab start at Double-A Reading on Sunday. His extensive track record suggests he can still be an impactful fantasy contributor, though it remains unclear whether he’ll return to his previous level of performance.

Gorman’s home run was his fourth of the season. He’s hitting .221 with four home runs, 11 runs and 18 RBI in 28 games this year. Gorman hasn’t had a league average wRC+ since 2023. Even after hitting his fourth home run, his .147 ISO would be the lowest of his career. Turning 26 next month, Gorman appears closer to losing playing time to someone like Thomas Saggesse than breaking out.

Ashcraft allowed six hits, walked three and struck out seven. He fell to 1-2 with the loss. The 26-year-old right-hander now has a 3.71 ERA and 3.42 xFIP on the year. In 34 innings this season, he’s struck out 39, walked 12 and allowed three home runs. Ashcraft’s clunky start Tuesday included two of those home runs, but he’s still worth consideration for fantasy managers in standard mixed leagues. He’s lined up to face the Reds at home on Sunday.

De La Cruz really filled up the box score in this one, finishing with a homer and multiple steals for the third time in his career. The other occasions were both in 2024. As of the moment, he’s tied for fourth in MLB with 10 homers, ninth with eight steals, tied for fourth with 26 runs scored and tied for ninth with 24 RBI.

Burns generated 22 whiffs on 55 swings while topping out at 100.5 mph tonight. He’s allowed two runs or fewer in five of his six starts this season and is now 3-1 with a 2.65 ERA overall even though the Reds have struggled to support him. He’s due to face the Pirates on Sunday.

Freeland’s velocity was down about one mph tonight in his return from a two-start absence due to shoulder inflammation, and he fell to 1-2 with a 3.48 ERA. He’ll make his next start at home against the Braves.

Myers’ injury history might make him ill-equipped to be an everyday center fielder for Cincinnati, but he deserves more time at TJ Friedl’s expense. He’s currently sporting a .797 OPS, compared to .528 for Friedl, and he’s the better defender of the two. Nevertheless, he’s started just one game against a right-hander this year, that coming on Apr. 9.

Julien has 13 hits in his last seven games, a stretch that has raised his OPS from .639 to .842. That’s still no mixed-league value here, as Julien is a platoon guy with limited power and steal ability (though he has for some reason tried four this year, succeeding twice). He does seem to be the Rockies’ best option as a leadoff man against righties, though.

They can only drop him one spot further. Tovar opened the season batting cleanup for Colorado and also hit second and third on occasion, but he hit seventh for the first time on Friday and eighth for the first time Sunday. The 24-year-old is still chasing every pitch he sees and batting .193/.228/.294 through 114 plate appearances. There’s no giving up on him for the long haul, but the Rockies could consider sending him down for a spell to try to motivate him to show even a modicum of discipline at the plate.

Leahy gave up nine hits, walked none and struck out seven. He improved to 3-3 on the season with the win. The 28-year-old right-hander only threw 82 pitches, but was removed in the sixth inning after he allowed two home runs. Leahy tried not walking anyone and allowed nine hits for the first time in 2026. He isn’t a recommended fantasy option at this point. Leahy’s lined up to face the Brewers at home next week.

Ramos had one of only two Giants hits when he doubled off Phillies starter Jesús Luzardo in the third inning. The 26-year-old outfield got off to a slow start this season, but now has 12 hits, three home runs, six runs and seven RBI over his last 10 games.
