Marlins optioned OF Heriberto Hernández to Triple-A Jacksonville.
Hernández hit .159 (10-for-63) with three steals in 22 games for the Marlins this season. The 26-year-old heads back to the minors to make room for Christopher Morel on the roster for Monday’s game against the Dodgers.

Mookie Betts (oblique) went 1-for-3 on Friday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Betts played five innings at shortstop in his first rehab contest as he continues working his way back from an oblique strain that put him on the shelf back in early April. The 33-year-old fantasy stalwart could potentially return to Los Angeles for Sunday’s series finale against Atlanta.
Cubs would be 'in shambles' without Imanaga
James Schiano discusses Shota Imanaga's performance against the Cincinnati Reds and how the pitcher has shaken off a rough end to the 2025 season.
  • AZ Left Fielder #73
Ryan Waldschmidt delivered a pinch-hit single on Friday in his major-league debut against the Mets.
Waldschmidt came off the bench to rip a single to left field in the eighth inning of Friday’s loss. The 23-year-old corner outfielder is going to strike out at a healthy clip as he acclimates to facing big-league arms for the first time, but he offers enough fantasy-relevant tools, including an intriguing power/speed combo, to warrant a speculative roster spot in all leagues. He was hitting .289/.400/.477 with three homers and six steals in 34 games at the Triple-A level this season. He figures to play everyday for Arizona moving forward.
  • SEA Shortstop #85
Mariners SS/3B prospect Colt Emerson went 3-for-6 with a solo homer on Friday for Triple-A Tacoma.
Emerson’s overall numbers don’t exactly leap off the page, mostly due to a wrist issue that briefly sidelined him last month, but he continues to look like one of the top fantasy prospects in the game. The 20-year-old infielder has gone deep twice in his last three games and is up to six homers and seven steals in 31 games at the Triple-A level this season. He’ll reach the majors at some point this summer, most likely at third base, before taking over as Seattle’s starting shortstop next season.
  • CWS Shortstop
White Sox SS prospect Caleb Bonemer launched his 13th home run of the season on Friday for High-A Winston-Salem.
Bonemer launched his minor-league leading 13th round-tripper of the season in this one just a couple days after taking Yankees ace Gerrit Cole deep during his latest rehab outing. The 20-year-old top prospect is rapidly evolving into one of the top prospects in the fantasy landscape with six big flies in his last 10 games. He’s slashing a sublime .282/.429/.718 with 13 homers and two steals in 30 games.
  • SEA Starting Pitcher
Mariners LHP prospect Kade Anderson posted nine strikeouts and allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings on Friday for Double-A Arkansas.
Anderson carried a shutout into the sixth inning before coughing up a solo homer with two outs in the frame. He threw a whopping 49 of 75 pitches for strikes in his latest dominant outing. He’s topped eight strikeouts in four of his six starts to kick off his professional debut. The21-year-old southpaw, who was selected third overall in last year’s MLB Draft, continues to look like one of the top pitching prospects in the fantasy landscape with a sparkling 0.60 ERA, 0.67 WHIP and 47/5 K/BB ratio across 30 innings. There’s a very real possibility he’s pitching in Seattle by the end of the year.
  • PIT Starting Pitcher
Pirates RHP prospect Seth Hernandez recorded nine strikeouts over six shutout innings on Friday for Low-A Bradenton.
Hernandez posted nine punchouts for the third consecutive starts and generated an eye-popping 24 swinging strikes in this one. He threw 56 of 81 pitches for strikes and allowed just four baserunners over six dominant innings. The 19-year-old continues to strengthen his case as the top fantasy pitching prospect in the game. He’s struck out 48.1 percent of the batters he’s faced in his professional debut while recording a microscopic 0.96 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 50/7 K/BB ratio across 28 innings over six starts at Low-A.
  • FA Left Fielder #5
    Cubs released OF Dylan Carlson.
Carlson was removed from Chicago’s 40-man roster after going 0-for-4 in three games last month. The 27-year-old outfielder should be able to latch on somewhere else as organizational depth.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #60
    Angels released RHP Hunter Strickland.
Strickland has bounced back-and-forth between the open market and the Angels organization over the last few months. The 37-year-old journeyman was in camp with Los Angeles as a non-roster invitee this spring. There’s a chance he’s back with the Angels shortly on a new deal.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #52
    Angels released LHP Angel Perdomo.
Perdomo heads to the open market after being hit extremely hard in 10 outings for Triple-A Salt Lake. The 32-year-old lefty made four appearances for the Athletics last year.
  • FA Relief Pitcher #40
    Brewers released RHP Jacob Waguespack.
Waguespack was in Brewers camp as a non-roster invitee this spring before posting a strong 2.25 ERA and 23/11 K/BB ratio across 16 innings over 11 appearances for Triple-A Nashville. The 32-year-old journeyman has made 31 appearances in the big leagues since 2019.
